Sub box building questions

Anyone know of a good site to get box accessories cheap? I need carpet, handles, and a protective grill for the IDMAX box I'm building. I'm figuring the grill will be the toughest part due to the surround size and excursion capabilities of this beast.

BTW, what's the deal with polyfill? - - "It makes the sub think it's in a bigger box".

I'd like to hear your opinions on the pros and cons of its use. I haven't used it in years because I typically build a box using the dimensions I get from inputting my desired Qtc of the box along with the manufacturer's supplied information concerning the sub's data into a program that spits out the dimensions required to attain the Qtc I'm looking for.

I typically shoot for a Qtc around 0.9 - 1.0 since all I listen to is metal/hard rock. It's nice to get the added SPL bump for "free" over the ideal/audiophile "flat" Qtc of 0.707 in a sealed enclosure.

Would I benefit from adding polyfill? Once I calculate the box dimensions based on the supplied manufacturer information for the sub and my personal preference for overall Qtc of the system, wouldn't it be self defeating to add a product that will "make the sub think it's in a bigger box"? (Bigger box = lower Qtc = loss of "free" bass boost).

I'm just curious since polyfill is cheap and I want to make sure my IDMAX is as happy as possible in its enclosure.

Thanks all.
