Hey everyone i now have a Del Sol that im driving, and for the next few months i won't be able to do anything performance wise to her(saving to try and replace the suspension), so im going to try and satiate my desire by doing some interior and audio touchups on her. I get her Oct. 1st so i don't know whats in there right now but i know someone tried putting in some after market speakers... won't know the quality till then.

But im trying to figure out a shopping list... It needs a new radio antenna someone snapped the original one, and im in the market for subs and possibly a new amp... i have my old JBL BP300.1 powervalves somewhere in a box but those are old and have been used for a few years im feeling like a whole new setup.

I've been looking into some audiopipes, my neighbor used to compete with them and they always seemed to deliver. But i don't know much about sound systems to know if they are a good bang for my buck.

Im looking in the range of 10's 2 i doubt i can fit more than 2 subs into the back of the del sol with a proper sized box.


27"length 40"wide 12" depth are the specs i was able to find of HF. I might be able to squeeze 3 in but i don't see it making a big enough difference to justify the loss of my trunk...

This being said does anyone have suggestions for subs that don't require a lot of air volume to work, have a good bang for their buck, and are of good quality? I don't mind spending as long as the quality is worth the price.

Same for amps Im more concerned with sound quality than window rattling craziness.

 

Look into some Sundown SA series woofers. They're great for the money, and work well in smaller boxes. As for amps, I would say Sundown or Digital Designs are your 2 best bets. If you want more power in a smaller case, you can look to Brazilian companies like Stetsom and Soundigital. Stetsom has a 1.5kw amp that's like 4" long. It's very very small and very powerful for it's size...

Awesome, thanks you two. I did some looking around and found out people have fit 2 10's behind the passenger seat. Read up on those SA's and they seem to be in the price range im looking to spend and after reading a lot of reviews im sold! Thank everyone, once i get the car up here and get rolling on everything i'll post up an update thanks!

 

If your looking to save space check out diamond audio, they make a crazy awesome shallow sub
And for an amp I recommend JL slash amps but if you want something small check out the Vibe liteair amps.
