Question Stupid Question

Alright, I admit it, this is a dumb question, but I really really really do not want to blow a speaker. I’m paying enough for my car as is, and don’t need to start buying replacement Bose speakers from Acura for some astronomical premium. I’d love to do something aftermarket, but don’t really want to mess with anything while the car is still under warranty and again, don’t have the $$$. I have a 00 TL-p and am wondering how high other people with the stock single disc (I know the 6 disc one has a different volume scale) unit play their music? Do you exceed the half-way mark on the volume scale, if so by how much? Has anyone blown a speaker yet? How much did you pay for a new one? Thanks! :worship:

I've turned mine up all the way to test or just to mess around with sometimes. The Bose system stops increasing the volume after a certain point so the speakers do not blow. Most of the bass is routed to the sub. I would not worry to much about it.

it all depends on what your listening to. iv had mine as far as full on many occasions, but what i was listening to didnt have a very loud signal. some cds are louder than others. i wouldnt worry about blowing any thing easily. after all its only BLOZ
