Stock Deck suxxxxx

Willl the steering wheel controls work after i put in an after market stereo...??? beacues the stock deck sucks.. doesnt even read mp3 cds.. lol

They will if you buy an adapter. Depending on what deck you go with is going to determine which adapter you need. If you can tell me what deck you are considering I can tell you which one to look for.

yea i thought so idk wat deck am get for it yet. but wat modles do that? of the top of my head i might get an alpine

It will cost around 50 beans, check out ebay, i was going to buy one for my alpine but never got around to do it, im used to using the remote now.

oook so with a alpine i jus get that adapter and u will be able to use the streeing controls... awsome.. lol.. what it that adapter called..??? and can i use it on any deck..???

Different decks need different adapters. However, some adapters work for 3-4 brands.

Alpine's cheap decks start at like $85 or something... They're not that expensive...

hey thanx.. so i was looking at one of them and they have a bunch of wires. so that would mean i have to wire it with the deck its self right...???

not really, they have a universal one that has a remote eye that has to be mounted so that it can point toward the face of the radio, all the wires you see are what connects to the stock wires in the steering wheel. Most new radios come " steering wheel control ready", which basically means that if you get a pioneer radio for example, then if you get the pioneer interface, then it will plug into the radio directly, you will still have to tap the wires at the wheel, but you won't have to have the universal eye. I really can't reccomend an interface until you decide on a radio, then I can give you a little more insight on which interface to pick and how to install it.

yeah as soon as i find out wat deck at get ill post it to see what options do i have for it.. yeah the eye thing doesnt sound that kool.. and plus i dont like haveing wires runing all over the place. lol... i dont even like to have my cell charger pluged in my car lol...
