Stock Deck removal

I know this has been asked a 1000 times but I can't seem to find any good instructions on how to get the stock deck out of a 2nd Gen CL.

If I'm blind and totally missed something then flame away

I've seen mention in some posts of a Sticky that supposed to have step by step instructions but I guess its not there anymore?

Thanks and sorry for another BOSE post

Cheers

So I started my deck removal using the wonderful instructions that came with my Scosche dash kit.

"1. Open armrest storage compartment lid.
2. Remove wood grain trim strip on the right side of console that goes from the front of the storage box to the top of radio. Do this by pushing slightly outward at the point on the trim strip that is by the storage box.
3. Pull up on the strip to release (5) clips, then pull straight back to release. Remove (2) screws from the side of the radio below a plastic pin.
4. Release plastic pins, unplug and remove radio."

So basically....the instructions aren't that helpful....if anyone can share any tricks it would be very appreciated.

Cheers
