Stock Amp, RCA Integration Harness

Hi all, This is my first post, I recently purchased a 03 CLS6, and my first major undertaking has been the audio. I replaced the stock front speakers with CDT 6.5's after some modification to the opening, I also put CDT 6x9's in the rear deck. My next move is to put an aftermarket Head Unit in, and wanted to use the RCA outs on the HU. I found the following harness, would it be sufficient with adding an aftermarket HU? or should I stick with the PAC OEM 2..

How about this question, With using the RCA's how many volts can the Bose Amp handle from the aftermarket head unit? The standard 4 volts? or will that cause the amp to "clip"?

you need to bypass the bose amp if you already put in aftermarket speakers. bose amps are designed to work with 2 ohm speakers. most aftermarket speakers are 4 ohms, some components are 2ohms but if they are high end, you need a good aftermarket amplifier to really hear the quality of them. just bypass everything and it will sound a lot better than trying to integrate

If im not mistaken I think the bose speakers I pulled out of the car we're 4ohm. if I bypass the amp, I would have to install my crossovers, and I really dont want to have to "re-do" my speakers.

What kind of CDTs you got? I've ran with CDT since '04 (when I had my old car) but since I got my TL last month, I haven't upgraded my stock audio yet. I bought some 6.5" components 2 years ago but never installed due to limited door mount depth. What modification did you have to make to the opening?

I Have the Ef 61 cfi. It was fairly difficult to mount them. I bought a MDF spacer on ebay, that I had to sand a little bit to make the opening larger on. The baskets on the CDT's are oversized for a 6.5, and I had to grind the opening on the door metal larger to accommodate the size of basket, even with the 3/4" spacer present. I also had to drill new holes in the spacers, and sheet metal. The result is fantastic, I left out the crossover, and modified the sail panel to accommodate my tweeter, and I couldn't be any happier. Looks very clean, and sounds excellent.
P.S. I have an extra set of spacers that I would be willing to part with, for nominal consideration.

Do your 6x9 speakers play high frequency sound or just the bass ? I heard stock amps send low frequency signals to those.
