I know i wouldnt get too much of a response over in the audio section, so I'm posting this here.

What is the deepest 6.5-7" driver you guys have installed into your doors.

I'm looking to get some new raw drivers for my active 2-way fronts, but dont really have time to take my door panel back off and test out the depth.

I will be using a 3/4" MDF baffle (speaker ring), and trimming the inside of my door panel to fit a deeper, beefier driver in there.

What's the deepest driver you guys have squeezed in there? Any info would be great.

good luck man, better off just making a spacer kit out of wood. I am convinced that no one knows that info.

 

MDF= wood.

I'm gonna bust out my router next week and make some. lol
