You have to remove the rear seat back in order to get to the amp. Once you do that you'll see a shiny metal box screwed onto the frame on the passenger side of the frame.
Here is a pic of when I replaced mine:

You'll see the amp right on the passenger side.
Hope that helps.

by "lifting the rear seat" do you mean the backrest section, or just the seat cushion? make sure you took out the whole backrest...
if you took the backrest off, you'll see a small rectangular metal box in the lower corner of the passenger side. that's the stock sub's amp. the wires you'll be tapping are there (remote on, and mono +&-)
read this post about drcookie's project, where he replaced the stock sub with an aftermarket free-air sub. there's alotta reading, but there's pictures in there which really help... especially when it comes time to run your power wire through the firewall:

good luck!

Why do you want to get to the stock "amp"?
I have amp in quotes because calling it an amp is questionable. Don't plan to use it for upgrades. It is a proprietary piece from Blose.
Don't think of it as a typical aftermarket amp...it's NOT.
