stock '97 2.2 stereo and aftermarket sub?

I just got my '97 2.2 yesterday, and was wondering if i can i put a sub and amp on my stock stereo? Also is the bose stereo standard....it looks like other Bose I've seen, but I don't think it says bose anywhere....well anyways, just want to know if I can keep my stock stereo and hook an amp and sub to it......

The 2.2 did not have a bose stereo. Trust me, you'd know it if you did... they tend to flaunt their name by putting it anywhere and everywhere.

A sub and amp can be very easily hooked up to the stock stereo. Depending on how much bass you want, an Infinity Basslink is a good choice to get some low end in the car, with minimal wirring to do... all you need a power, ground and sound from the rear speakers... no turn on lead is needed because it turns on with a signal.

There are tons of options out there... figure how much bass you want... and how much you wanna spend... get out and listen to some different combos... and see what you like...
