Stereo / SC install.... Advice needed!!!
Advice needed!!!
i was thinking to do a 2 battery set up but i don't want to strain my alt to much by having to charge them both. especially since the system won't be on much when the car is off so there's no real good point to have a 2 battery set up.
I'm starting the stereo install right now on a 03 TL and will be adding the supercharger after.... having to need a 51R battery for the SC i was wondering would i run into electrical problems if i were to run everything off the 51R battery and 2 1.3farrad caps ? doing a big3 upgrade too but also hoping to not up grade the alternator but it just might have to be done but what is the best way to go about this? 2 battery set up or run everything off the 51R battery with 2 caps for the amps.
has anyone tried having to fit a optima(red) with the SC on a tl/cl?
Thanks in advance

1) Just skip the whole thought of a 2 battery setup. You said it yourself, and you're right. Not on that car.
2) How much juice (drain) do you intend on putting on the car? What kind of amps? Caps are likely also a waste of money unless you're doing something stupidly large, which I hope you wouldn't do in an SC'd car.

Skip the caps unless you like them as 'bling'. Other equipment is fine. I wouldn't drive those amps at 8v input tho, not sure they're rated for it. 4-5v would be more than enough no matter how you slice it.
