Stereo cuts out in cold weather in 2nd gen TL

Twice this winter I've started my 2000 TL in the morning and the sub is the only speaker working in the car. The stereo comes on, but the sub is the only speaker working. I have an all stock system except for upgrading to a 03 6 disc changer and 6.5" infinitiy speakers in the front.

The first time the speakers stayed off until I shut the car off and re-started it. This past weekend, the speakers stayed off all day and just came back on while driving down the road.

Does this sound like a problem with the stock amp or with the HU?

My guess would be the stock amp, but don't know for sure.

Thanks in advance for any responses!

SOunds like the stock amp to me, or a shorted voice coil in one of the speakers is causing the amp to shut off... but those amps rarely have protection circuits, so it's probably a cold solder in the amp...
