Speaker Whistle
Speaker Whistle
After I installed my amp I am hearing some engine noise through the speakers. Like I give it gas and there is a whistle in the speakers. I didnt run any wires at all near the ECU what else could cause engine noise though speakers. ALso on my CVA-1005 when I stomp on the gas the screen kind of distorts. Would a capacitor fix this problem or would I have to go to a larger altinator.
I also have that problem...also when you flip the seat forward and it automatically goes up there is a high pitched sound that comes through the speakers. Any one have a fix for any of these??? There is also a constant hiss even with the volume down all the way.
What about the seat noise??
Is that from a bad ground as well?? None of the wires run buy the passenger seat. I also have just some regular RCA wires that I picked up from radio shack that run from the PAC converter to the amp...could that be a problem or RCA'S the same??

a ground loop isolator won't fix a damn thing, if the install is done correctly and with good wire you won't have a problem, unless you are using shitty products, like road gear from pep boys, or anything radio shack has to offer. common problems which cause engine noise is running your rca's and power wire less than 3 feet from each other, what you hear is electromagnetic interference, second, is grounding, if you install an amp, make sure to run a ground wire from your deck( even if it is factory) and run it to the same hole that the amp uses to ground through the chassis. If you are already only using one grounding point, try moving;different parts of the chassis have better and worse grounding possibilities. If your rca's are cheap, and not twisted pair, or your are using a cheap in line converter, that will cause engine noise. If you have no idea what I have just explained you really should get someone who knows how to correctly do installs to help you because you will scratch your head for hours while someone that knows what their doing can fix your problems in no time

Where should I run the ground from off of the CVA Brain. I dont remember a ground on it. Unless it is just on one of the wire harnesses. Also I have my RCA's and power cord only next to each other for about 6 inches right before the amp other wise I ran them on op sides of the car. Could that short distance cause the problem?
