Speaker upgrade appearence?
Speaker upgrade appearence?
I am leasing my car and was glad to hear you can upgrade the speakers with the stock HU because the way the dash is designed trying to put an aftermarket unit in would be a disaster.
Now my question is this. Is there any readily visible differences?
Meaning in 4yr when I turn my car in am I going to have to swap the speakers back out or will it really not be noticeable to the naked eye?
Of course I could always get them installed at Best Buy (Yes, i saw the earlier comments about BB/CC and while I think some of their install shops really blow I have had really good experience with the BB by my house) And BB will swap them back out for free.. So i kinda answered my own question except honestly I dont care to keep my speakers in a box for four years to swap them back out.

Well, depending on how the speaker is installed, if it is in the stock location, then no one will notice it because of the factory speaker grill.
If I were you, I would swap the speakers back to original when you are going to sell the car. Reason is that the speaker would hardly add any value to your car no matter how good the speaker is, unless it is a private sale and the 'prospect' buyer understands about quality speakers & sound system.
Beside, you can always use the speaker for your next car

Well what I think I'll do then is have Best Buy (the shop by me is actually pretty good they did a good job on one of my previous cars) install it that way when i turn the car back in / sell it they will have to do all the work of swapping back the factory speakers for free
