It all depends on the speaker you're going to be installing... If your new speaker has the same or less mounting depth than the stock one, you're for sure good to go. If the new speaker has a deeper mounting depth than the factory one, you're going to have to check and see whether or not you'll need spacers. The easiest way to do this is to just test fit the speaker and see if you're making contact with anything... I'm running 1" spacers in my 1st gen CL for my front speakers, but that's because I went from a 5.25" speaker to a 6.5" and it was definitely worth it...

Also, posting what year/model car this is going in will help greatly, along with what the new speakers are...

I have a set of spacers I don't need, let me look and see if I can find them, they're yours if you pay shipping

These should work, as far as the mounting goes. However I'm not sure if it gives you very much, extra clearance for mounting depth, depends on how thick that plastic is. However that is the general shape of the spacer I used to install 6x9's in my rear lid. What is the mounting depth of the speakers you are trying to install?

Another local Aziner made me a set of spacers.

But totally depends on the speaker and the mounting depth.
