speaker size question

What's the size of the rear speaker in the 02 TL-S? Not the ones on the door, but on the rear deck, the woofer. I'm thinking of changing just that speaker.

I'm not sure if it's the same as in the '99, but I believe it is an 8" subwoofer. If you just want to replace this subwoofer with an aftermarket one, you will need a free-air one. There are very few free-air speakers (especially of high quality) currently on the market and I would recommend just getting a sub w/box. The sound will be much better. If you are concerned about trunk space, you should be able to get an 8 or 10 inch (depending on how deep of bass and how loud you want it) sub in a small sealed box that will not take up too much space. Hope this is of some help. Good Luck.

well there is really no such thing as a 9 inch, but you can make an 8 or 10 fit with modification
