Ok, I just got my '03 TL-S yesterday and I'm already underwhelmed by the Bose audio system. It sounds decent at moderate to low levels, but I rarely listen to music at those levels.

I'm looking for suggestions to replace the entire sound system in the car.

I have amps for the interior speakers: JL Audio 300x2

I have one set of 6" Component Speakers: Boston Acoustics Z6 (one set of crossovers may be about to die thanks to a sh!tty install by Tweeter)

Now I'm looking for suggestions for the interior speakers, obviously I'm going to keep the Z6's if they're still in working order. If not, I need a recomendation for cheaper replacements.

Replacing the factory Bose woofer in the rear deck. What is the best option there? Would I be better off pulling it complety or mounting a small sub there? Could I get JL 10w6v2 in that spot? What kind of amp should I run to it? 500/1?

I would go either one of the screens, both are beautiful to have in the TL. As for replacing the speakers, I would just put new speakers all around, I wouldnt want to put something in that may die and then take off the door panel and then replace the speakers again. I would still go with Boston speakers, there just damn good to hear. For the replacement of the rear deck, Kicker RMB8 is the one I believe. Check it out..

 

Good point about the door speakers, good thing eBay has Z6's at a "reasonable" price. Thank you for the sub replacement, I'll check that out today.
