Post Speaker Grill

I Want to replace my speaker in the door pannel but before I do, I would like to know if I have to remove the pannel or just the grill and if just the grill how do I remove without damaging the grill and pannel???

You have to remove the entire door panel. It just snaps off. Leave the door handle attached, but remove the plastic covering that is held in place with the screw. Also, check the mounting depth of the speakers you are going to replace and make sure there is enough room for the magnet in the door. If there isn't enough room, you will need to buy or build spacers for the speaker, which may (most likely will) require modification to the speaker grills in order for the new speakers to fit.

You have to remove the door panel - the grill is built into it.
The chrome door handle comes off with the plastic cup it sits in. There is also a large screw under the arm rest you need to remove. You can put up to a 6.5" spkr in the doors but will need to make adapters for you spkrs to mount - then bolt the adapters to the doors. Made mine from MDF.

Oh that's right, the handle does come off, but the assembly stays... Thanks TL Daddy!
