Soundgate loc's

Anybody using soundgate's line output converter's to run aftermarket amp's from the factory headunit? I am still getting hiss at low volume level. On the converter's the gain is adjusted by dip switch's. I was wondering if anybody have had expierence with these?

davey73,

what's the model# on your LOC. I believe it is similar to the david navone LOC that i have. I get a slight hiss at low volume too if it turn gains up. But Idon't think its because of the LOC, since I also used DEI LOC's and it did the same thing. It sounds like hiss but in my case its actually picking up a very low level noise that's somehow getting into the RCA's. I'm thinking, it could be because of the way the RCA's are routed and/or because i left the LOC behind the radio where there are tons of other wires on top of it.

Can anyone help?

im getting a mono amp and a single sub and plan to just swap the stock sub and amp. is this what i should do?:
1) use existing remote
2) run new power/ground
3) use loc at headunit? or at stock amp location?
4) which loc could/should i use?

thanks, for the most part i think the loc is the part im unsure about now (what kind, etc)
