Sound deadener

Can you please share your experiences with the use of sound deadeners(Cascade, Dynamat, RAAMmat, etc). Please tell what type of difference it made with keeping interior noise in,as well as exterior noise out.

Thanks

I used Dynamat in my 91 Legend. Put it on trunk lid and rear deck. I had 2 JL 12w3 powered by 1000 watt amp. I saw people who had systems that you could hear the bass outside the car and I always wondered why it didnt happen to me. Then I realized that Dynamat kept all the sound inside the cabin. Its a lil pricey but well worth it.

I use b-quiet extreme in my 00 Accord. It's cheap and has no smell. I put 2 layers on the front doors and floorpan and 1 layer on the trunk floor and sides and also rear doors. It kills a lot of road and wind noise. I don't know how it performs with the stereo tho, because I haven't finished the install.

I bought it from www.b-quiet.com.

Sorry guys but I have trouble believing that dynomat (and things like it) keep the bass from being heard outside the car. I though it was just to keep things from vibrating and to reduce road noise.

It does make a difference, but not much. It will make the bass sound cleaner though, because you eliminate the rattles. RAAMmat is good stuff. I will go with peel and seel, which can be found at many places. It's cheap, and works really well. I will be matting my car during summer time.

Get Brown Bread...its sold at www.b-quiet.com ...it received the highest point total out of sound deadening materials...I bought myself a 35 sq. ft. roll of it and it is extremely easy to use...also my system sounds even better with it in..no more rattle..
