Sold on solobarics?

So i have done some more shopping / listening and have pretty much decided on the kicker L7s. The alpine TYPE S's are nice too but the L7's just kick harder. Now there is the JL W7 but that woofer alone costs what the two kicker 10's, an amp and install will cost me...

Any other thoughts/comments before i do some buy it now clicks?

:P :P :P

i hate kicker with a passion, since i began building my own subs it pisses me off that kicker can go around making such false claims about the power handeling of their subs. i dont have enough fingers and toes to count all the people i know that bought an L7 or L5 sub and ran the manufacturers stated power and watched smoke come out of the coil and lock up the sub.
i would take a JL 10W6v2 before i would get a kicker. you get what you pay for.
kickers subs are all made in china for approximatly 18.00 a sub. you pay over 100 for it. thats why they can warranty it and replace it so easy.

So i read some reviews on the W7 and it seems to be a bit overhyped for the price..

i mean i have my own line of subs. im not running my business anymore but yes i had a manufacturer building them to my specs. i use a 3" diametr coil that is good for 750 watts. kicker would like you to belive theirs is 750 watts with a 2.25" coil

before you buy audition them with some techno or dance music, see how the sub responses to those quick deep notes, thats the ultimate test of how good a sub is. most sub can get loud but sound like crap. if you seriously want the best bang for your buck than get some ED subs, prolly the ed 10o. its about 180 dollars, no alpine or kicker sub can compare.

some friends have them and many audio sites forum members also like them. there are many good subs out there, many arent mainstream tho that you will find at best buy or circuitcity. just remember ED only make subs so they will put all their effort in making subs. apline on the other hand makes MANY products and therefore their main focus are not on subs. in no way am i saying their subs are no good, but for the price you can get MUCH better. just do alil hw on a few audio sites

also ED subs look purdy....

i got these http://www.creativesound.ca/details.php?model=SX10
its sitting in my room now waiting to be installed
