snigle kicker 10" or two 12"
snigle kicker 10" or two 12"
obviously the two 12" would sound alot better than one 10"
the one 10" came in the car along with a 450W amp. the 10" is in one of those 3 feet long circle boxes with the port on one end and the speaker on the other. i am lost for the word to describe it.. hope you understand.
i have a 1200W amp and two phoenix digital 12"'s in a normal box.
is it worth switching everything out, probably have to change the 12 gauge wires to my 0 gauge too...
i am not a huge boom boom type of guy and dont want some heavy ass box in the trunk.
opinions??

Honestly, if you don't want boom then you should be happy with the 10, I'm a 2x12 kinda guy so that's what I do in every car, but for my daily driver I just swapped out the stock 8 with a JL 8, because of space, but if you're happy with the 10, then don't bother. I'd put the 12's in beacuse I love going deaf
its a bass tube thats in there. thats the word i was looking for. and there is no cool way to mount it. its a kicker though so it sounds good. i just dont want the weight of the 2 12"s in my trunk. but i do want the 2 12"s. thats my delima.
LOL big delimma here.... What I suggest is to write down every PROS and CONS of each ...and then decides...
My thoughts....
12"
PROS:
-If your not a BOOM BOOM fan then you'll have to adjust those 12" at their minimum but still have the choice if you want to drive it nuts one day or just for ONE song.
CONS:
-Youll have the 150pounds+ extra in the trunk so you'll feel the weight on the thrutle and at the pump (Trust me)
-12" are reputated to sound BOOM BOOM and are made for BOOMBOOM so if you don't want boomboom then go for the 10"
-Need a good speakers setup.....unless you want 2 kill the sound quality
10"
PROS:
-Leave you some trunk space
-Less agresive more sound quality alike
-Better KICK (IMHO) then 12"
CONS:
-When you have a sub you'll always want more power after a couple of months
Good luck with your installation ....

I'd get rid of those subs and that amp ASAP and get something quality. Even a single GOOD 10" sub and an adequate power from a good clean amp will sound better than those.
Rule of thumb - if it has the wattage printed on it in huge letters, there's a 99% chance that it's total junk.

i bought all that plus wires for 250 a 3 years ago. only has about 6 months of usage. not like i spent that much for it ya know. i realize the speakers arent that great, i wasnt trying to show off when i posted them. i just had the pic and thought i might post it.
as for the sound, they arent that bad. definatly not competition, but sound good enough for me.
i think i might stick with the one 10" thats in there right now until i can get some good ideas for the two 12"s installed clean and flush... which makes me want to post up a pic thread......
so here it goes...
