slot port vs. normal port
my friend was telling me to go slot port rather than normal due to the fact the round ports tend to make a humming sound. i was wondering if this was the only reason to go slot rather than round? my goal is to put two 12" solobarics powered by an audiobahn a2300hct, with an alpine cda-7897 in my 98 acura cl. theres a certain spot in the back of my trunk that a box 31w x 17hx ??deep would fit perfectly, but if i do get slot port i was told its going to be wider than usual and i dont know if it will fit. opinions, comments, or ideas?

 

the humming can be stopped by using an seroport or similar product... i dont know much else.
