I have a 03 Tl-S with Navi and a Bose subwoofer on the rear deck. What size is that speaker, because I want to replace it with an aftermarket.

I believe it's an 8"

 

I thought it was not a standard size, its 9'' i believe.

 

It is a 8" sub but a very shallow one. I want install the Polk Db series 8" dual voice coil sub that I bought for it but it is a deep basket one. I would have to cut out the metal basket but the spring for the trunk lid is attached to it. I have got to find a different way to mount the trunk spring. I installed separate Polk Db series 5 1/4" componant speakers for the front with crossovers and 5 1/4"'s in rear doors. I was hoping to have a complete matching speaker system because those Bose speakers are crappy paper cone speakers.

 

yes its 8" might as well just get a whole new sub in an enclosure IMO

 

its an 8" sub i would just get a new 10" and put it in a small box.
