I have a '01CL and want to remove the factory stereo and replace it with a single-din unit. I'm also installing 2 amps, sub and MBQuart speakers. However, the factory stereo, besides sounding like crap, is much bigger than the new stereo and I was wondering if there is some type of dash installation kit and connector adapter for the '01CL. I checked with Scosche Industries, which makes such kits, but they don't have one for the new CL. Also, I was wondering if there is a factory amp in the '01CL? Acura dealer told me there isn't but I've read in this forum that there is one somewhere in the trunk. If there's a factory amp, I'm going to bypass it anyway but I was just curious.

 

I have a guy making a custom dash piece for me and he plans on making a 2 din and 1 din setup also. i will post pics when I get it done this Sat(I hope). Yes the amp is in the trunk on the right wall about half way back.
