Hello,

I'm having my system installed tomorrow, and they will be dyna-matting the trunk. I am nutty about rattles, so I was hoping to hear from all of you as to where the most important areas are to insulate.

In the trunk/rear deck area, (2000TL) what are the most important areas to pay attention to? I know that, with the stock system, I have mad rattles in the rear deck area near the blows sub. Not sure where it's comming from exactly (the rear deck is very thin, so that might me a factor).

You all are incredibly knowledgeable (been reading this forum for a while) and I figured you all would know best.

Any help/pics/ideas????

umm from my experience dynamat has been a waste of money... it doesn't seem to work well since it does not TOTALLY eliminate vibration and rattles.. today it seems like that is the biggest problem for audio ppl... but aftyer insulatting my trunk lid and sides and bottom of trunk... i found that the license plate and also the cover on top of my exhaust rattles when ik kick it high.. and yes the rear panel (deck) deos rattle too cause there are holes underneath so u may wanna do that first... but after u dynamat and system in.. test it out.. maybe u got a lucky TL where they welded everything tight... cause my cressida didn't have rattling probs but like i said my TL had the muffler plate rattling and the liense plate... good luck
