i am in the market for a new sub or subs for my tl.... right now my decision is between 2 jl 12w3v2 or 1 12w6v2..... or should i just spend the extra money and get the 12w7.....

I really like the JLW6v2. I was gonna get this woofer but coudnlt due to my amp. My amp runs 500rms at 4 ohm and the V2 is only made in dual 4. If you get the W6 what kinda amp are you gonna get.

if i get the w6 i will probably either use a jl amp or maybe a mmats amp.... but to be honest i am leaning more and more towards the w7.....

w7 perfection at its best. You need 1000 watt amp.

and more money to buy that amp, plus its like 45 lbs/ 10w7 kick ass sub, but need power money and dont like racing

i have two 12W6 in my car right now. the 12w3v2 puts out the same wattage as the w6. so i would go with the 2 12w3v2. plus they are lighter than a w6. my friend just got 3 12w3v2 and hits so hard.

What do you guys mean you can't run a 500rms amp on the w6v2 because it's dual 4 ohms? Doesn't that mean it has dual voice coils that are rated at 4 ohms each? I was planning on running 2 10w6v2 wired to a jl 500/1. Would that work. If so, what optimum ohm would it be running at? Thanks for any responses.
