Kicker vs. Punch 12" Subs ? Which one is better?

Need a little help here ...

Abnout to upgrade the paper-thin Bose "blows" sub and tear it out to ADD a 12" sub in the trunk.

What size- power Amp should I use?

I DO NOT listen to ALL RAP-Hip-Hop, I listen to Rock-n-Roll mostly and use the radio as well. QUALITY sound requested

Need advice on which sub - Kicker or Punch to go with ... the local shop I deal with has those and Crossfires to install...:wow:

Thanks for your replies... Phil

Both of them are really good woofers. I think you will be happy wit a Kicker Solobaric 10 L5 in a small sealed box. IF u wanted to go rockford route you get the Punch He2 10.

I should have read the whole post. You want a 12. If u get a 12 Kicker get a Comp VR then. I had a Alpine type R 12 and it was awesome and today I jsut got a Kicker Solobaric 12 and it hits much harder. Just tobad the solo's are power hungry. Tell me what kind of amp are gonnna be using and how power of bass you want. I can help u pick out a good amp to.

for the money, you cant go wrong with 2 12 inch kicker comp vr's. They knock hella hard and cost about 100 each. BTW they dont make the Solo Baric L5 sub anymore. It's just the L3 and L7's.

It is installed and sounds great !!! Left the stock in place for now, unplugged that is

1 12" Kicker Comp VR in a box, matches the trunk lining, hooked to the Directed Electronics 250 amp = 350 watt

The Sub remote gain control adjust knob is up front near, my right knee on the center panel edge. Out of sight but within reach

What a treat to go from No Gain to Full - Knocks the wind out of you !!!!!

wait u say u have your knob by your right knee????? Where is it mounted. I need a new place to mount mine. Right now its mounted by the ebrake under the fuse box and I sometimes have to look wheres it set at and take my eyes off the road to do that. So tommorow when I turn up my amps (I think my kicker is wore in now) I wanna move my knob.
