Shock Sensor installed. Need help getting more sensitivity.

Shock Sensor installed. Need help getting more sensitivity.

The shock sensor install was harder than expected. I tried wiring the power to the orange trunk wire but was difficult since the splicers I bought were meant to be used on thicker guage wire. Either way, I ended up using the normal power in the back of the fuse box like everyone else...but the sensitivity of it is NOT good enough! I mounted the shock sensor to the ignition cables but even though I shake the car, the sensors still dont trip. I know 100% they work because I can be inside and tap the sensor and it'll trigger the alarm. Where else have you mounted the shock sensor so that even a cat can set it off?

Probably the batch of sensor you get for autotoys.com. They send you different ones depending on manufacturers (who ever sells them cheapest, they buy from them and send to you)....The one I got is SUPER sensitive. Damn, I hooked it up to the orange wire (trunk) and use that as power and hooked up everything else as instructed (didn't even have to pull out fuse cover or anything, just look down under the dash and start hooking things up)....anyways, i set the damn thing only 1/2 way sensitive and pop the trunk, bam alarm goes off......(alarm is triggered before the power is actually cut off to the sensor)..it is that sensitive so I have to cut down the sensitivity a little more...it's crazy.

randomwalk101, what brand sensor did they end up sending to you.

It's the SS44C Dual Zone Shock Sensor & Current Sensor..
That's all I got out of their little 1/4 page of instruction comes with it. Probably some nameless manuf. from China or somewhere..
