Seal Stock Sub

I don't know if this has been covered and i am more than sure it has been thought of but can you somehow seal the stock sub to produce a better sound.

I think the stock sub is tuned and eq'd to use your trunk as an enclosure. If you seal it, you might get muddy bass.

yup...its a freeair sub, the trunk is the box......it you shouldnt seal it. right?
