screw the bose sound system

thanks for all those who gave valuable information, however when it came down too it, i just wanted a bad ass setup. i now have a really good one.

one - alpine cda-9897 receiver custom fit dash with custom face plate.
a pair of jl vr 6.5" front door speakers
a pair of jl tr 6" rear door speakers
a jl12w0 sub in a custom box fitted between the wheel well in the trunk with stock sub removed for air movement.
one- ecplise 5 channel amp mounted to the custom box.
all using lightning bolt 20' rca cables.

i did try adding all the amp and speakers with the head unit (receiver) but with a 3/4 volt output from the HU after putting pac converters to change the wire output to rca jacks. the system sounded worse than stock. and after all that money on equipment it was just easier to pay for a top of the line alpine and have the installer custom make a dash kit and face plate. looks nice and install cost was only 75 bucks total for the receiver. think i paid them around 50 bucks to put in the speakers and 75 bucks for the custom box. ill post pics soon of the HU and custom sub box with sub and amp attached.

$50 for all 4 speakers? I'd love to see what the install looks like. Did they dynamat the doors for you, build trim rings to hold the speakers. Man, the materials are more than $50.
