Satellite Radio and CD/MP3 Changer

I have searched for this answer, but I don't believe that I have found it anywhere else, so here goes. I have a 2000 TL 3.2 with the factory Bose and no CD changer. I want to get satellite radio and somehow get MP3 functionality. If I get a blitzsafe adaptor, it is possible for me to have both with one extra head unit, or am I going to have to hook one up with the blitzsafe adaptor and use an FM modulator for the other? I am a relative neophyte as far as car stereos go. Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
2000TL

I put in a CD Changer with the Blitsafe adapter, and although I'm not certain, I don't think you could also add the satelite radio as well. I could only feel one connection behind the HU and there is really no other place to plug in the satelite radio.

I'm not sure about this, just my opinion. Good luck.

Line Level Switch

The blitzsafe product has only one input, which limits you to one RCA input.

In order to get around that, I ordered a line level switch from David Navone products group.

I believe there's a dual CD changer and AUX input available from Blitzsafe for the stock Bose.

Only problem is I think you are stuck with the external Bose CD changer using the dual unit.

2 inputs

Yes, you're correct.

The Navone product allows you to connect two RCA input devices. In my case, that's a satellite radio and an MP3 player.

When the navone is powered, it passes the input from one device, and when not, from the other. It's pretty simple and adds no "noise" the signal that I can hear.

The way mine is set up is as follows.

BS adaptor to Alpine sat radio, alpine cd changer plugs into sat radio and both are controlled though the sat radio.

When want to listen to satellite or MP3's I push the cd button on my Bose hu and then use the source button on my alpine mini-hu. There should be another thread around here that gives this in more detail and has a link to some pictures that I posted. If you have any other questions let me know.
