Rough Draft of Sound System

Well, here's the system i've been planning on my 98 CL 2.3, tell me what you think and if you see anything wrong.

---Front and Rear Setup---

Receiver - Pioneer DEH-P3900MP
Front Speakers - Polk db6500 Components (Max 100 RMS)
Rear Speakers - Polk db6500 Components (Max 100 RMS)
Amp - JBL Grand Touring Series GTO75.4 II (104 RMS x 4)

---Bass Setup---

Sub - JBL Grand Touring Series GTO1204BP (Max 200 RMS)
Amp - JBL CS300.1 (12" Max 300 RMS)

It's going to run me around 1200 including bass blockers, wires, Dynamat etc.. I will also be replacing every single interior light with blacklight. Anyway, tell me what you think.

---Edit---

Replacing the JBL 12" with an 8" Polk MOMO Sub with custom sealed enclosure, for tighter bass.

I think a lot of people assume that smaller subs = tighter bass, which is not necessarity the case. A quality 12" sub in a proper enclosure (one made to the sub's specs) will still provide very tight bass and volume at low frequencies that would be hard to match with an 8". Not sure your listening habits, but I'd recommend sticking with the 12" if you have room.

im running a 10" MOMO and its tight enough for me, with subs its more or less all about the box, ive seen a single 10 in a full custom 4th order bandpass box out-bump 2 12s in a ported box... and likewise ive seen 2 12s that sound much cleaner than a single 10............

I mean im getting real tight and good bump if i need it off my 10" in a prefab .65 ft^3 sealed MDF Prefab..... im intending to go custom because I wantr something built around my rear strut bar

as for my opinion on the other things on your list.......... id say its not bad, but not quite what id do.............. and as for the sub, if it were the JBL id say more power, overdriving is safer than underdriving, to a certain point obviously, but thats the way it is

in all honesty if this is what you want, then by all means, do it, but if you ever intend to go higher end you may as well do it now and save yourself the money of having to buy these things right now for the cool badass stuff

Yeah, i've decided to downgrade my bass to a 100RMS 8" MTX with a JBL CS60.2 Amp with 140RMS. As you can see i really don't care about bass, as long as it backs up my components a little i'm fine. And since this is my first system i'm not going to go high-end, i know i could get JL or something but i'm about to go into college and money is a pretty big problem.

dont worry about it too much, JLs are overrated for the price anyways....... IMO its just overpriced, its good but not that good

oh and I gotta say, JBL and Infinity are basically the same stuff, so id take Infinity stuff because it looks a whole hell of alot better.... and as for the 8" id stay with your choice of the MOMO,

and if you dont care about the bass, then heres what id do, get a good set of components on the back, like a set of good Focal K2 Power 165s (KFs are great and cheaper, K2P is amazing but also quite expensive) a set of the 165KFs are 600 bucks, the way I see it is like this, the sub will cost 80 bucks (at retail), then the amp will cost another 150, then the Polk set in the back will cost 200, that totals out to 430, a little more for the Focals, hell you can got a good set a set of Kappa Perfects for 2-300 bucks online or on eBay...... theyll provide enough bass for ya, and save you on trunk space... but id say spend the extra on the FOcals they will make a good difference, good low end AND phenominal top end

or if you still want a sub for back-up a good idea would be an Infinity basslink, a preamped enclosed subwoofer, small and self amplified, itll do the job well
