Replacment of factory sub

I got a pretty noob question.

I have search yahoo, Google, bing and nothing.

The factory sub, I want to replace with an alternative but don’t want that huge rattle bass, I want suttle, who here has it done and if you have pictures.

most of the rattle bass you are talking about is because of the rear cover, not the bass it self. But I am in the same process of getting the sub replaced. I am leaning more towards taking out the stock sub, and just getting a box in the trunk. Somehow mounted so it sits pointed toward inside of the cabin through the ski hole. That's a useless hole anyways.

I am trying to retain the car to look factory, but if it comes to this then I will look at other options.

there are a few threads about this in the 3G section and 99% of them say that it's not really worth it. I hate the look and uselessness of a big sub box in the trunk so I am looking into some cleaver ways to minimize that
