Replacing factory sub

Question Replacing factory sub

Does anyone know if its ok to replace the factory sub without having to replace the factory amp as well? I know a few people who have bose systems in their cars and they've had to replace the factory amps when replacing the factory speakers? Any truth to this?

it wont sound as good it wont kik, if your gonna get an aftermarket sub, most of the time youll need an amp. hope this helped
