Replacing Bose System

I need alil help. I have a Bose System in my 2001 Acura 3.2CL Type-S. The dealership says, I can't remove the Bose system, and replace it with my own custom system, because the Bose system is built into the car. Is there a way around this? should i just cut out the speakers with a saw, so i can start my own project? or should i just leave in the Bose component speakers, and just add Subs?

The only thing tricky about Bose is that the amp is matched to the speakers. The dealer is pulling your dick. I replaced alll of my speakers with JL stuff. I think what the dealer meant is that its all or none....if you remove the bose...you have to take it ALL out.

Yes there is a way around it, you ether leave your factory radio or change it, if you leave it you will need a 4 chanel amp and new speakers. If you change it you will need new radio then you can run speakers of the stock radio or also add a 4 channel amp to run the speakers of the amp.

hey Vsokolov, I want to rip out the whole bose system, and replace it with my own custom setup. i noticed, that the speakers are like built-into the car frame. how should i go about tackling this job? by the way, right now, i have a RF Folgate amp, and 2 JL 18w3s i want to install in the trunk. i also might go with some JL components for the door panels.

thank you

HU? You can remove them just fine...takes a few tools, but you won't hurt anything.
