I have my factory radio with the mp3 cd changer and I dont want to upgrade anything else I just want to replace my factory bose speakers. I did a search and everyone says that the polk dx-6 is the way to go but all the posts about this are from last summer
are there any speakers to replace the factory speakers now?

The Polk's are still a good fit for replacing the speakers. Infinity's Reference series will also fit pretty good. Those are probably the two easiest fit replacements.

 

where can i find the polk dx-6's now because it shows discontinued? what about the infinity reference speakers. i really dont know what im looking for.

 

Image Dynamics CTX6 are IMHO better than the Polks. You can get them from www.mmxpress.com.

Should run you about $110 a pair plus shipping.

They have the same footprint as the Polks and will fit using the same mods. Check out my mods page for pics of my install of them.

Your factory changer play mp3s?

 

no i have the alpine changer that plays mp3s

 

so i need 5.5 to replace the fronts and 6.5 for the back right?

i looked at one mod and someone replaced the speaker wires? do i have to replace my speaker wires or can i just pop the new speakers in?

i also saw that people where using image dynamics if they couldnt find polk. i had polks in an older car and they where great.
anybody have any feedback on image dynamics
