Repalce factory Headunit
If anyone ever tells you that keeping the factory HU is fine and the sound is good, tell them to go blow! I kept the factory unit to start because I didn't want to worry about car break-ins, and I didn't want to waste the steering wheel controls. Well I just intalled a Pioneer headunit and it just rocks!! If your seroius about your music, NEVER keep your factory unit...

question for ya...
were you tapped into the line level outs of the out head unit or just using a high to low converter on the speaker wires from the bose amp? or simply running the speaker wires from the bose amp into your amplifier?

I tapped into the line outs on the HU. I had an EQ mounted up front to boost the signal to the back trunk area. There was just to many issues. No trigger wire for amps, narrow frequency band from HU, signal to noise ratio bad, and noise produced from factory HU. I had a really nice Nakamichi in my last car, but I still thought I could live with the factory HU, but I was wrong...
