Removing Front Panel

I just inherited my moms '97 TL and I want to swap my Pioneer head unit into it. I was wondering how you go about taking the front panel off to remove the factor cd player. I installed it in my last car but it was easy because there was just a flimsy plastic panel and this one is much sturdier. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, how do I remove the factory radio properly? Because I know there's that little theft alert light or whatever on it and I don't want to mess anything up by just ripping it out.
