Remote Turn-on
Remote Turn-on
Hi all,
Does the 03 CL head unit have a remote turn-on lead? I am planning to install an EQ and an amp myself, and both of them have remote turn-on leads to connect with the lead in the HU. How you guys connect that to the OEM HU?
Thanks

I am so dumb. I read the whole instruction from Silver Knight, and didn't see "remote turn-on" anywhere
The only thing I can see is the Radio Switch (YELLOW/WHITE) . Is it the one that I should use? If it is not, can you point it out for me, please?
This is my first time to mess with car audio, so be ... gentle with me
Thanks

I just installed an amp and subsover the weekend. I connected by remote wire for the amp to the radio switch wire based on the diagram from the other link in this post. It worked with no problems. When you turn off the HU then your amp will shut down too.

Thanks for all your help, guys. I installed the EQ last weekend. It's sloppy job, but I am very happy with it. Took me more than 2 hours to get to the HU and remove it. The four screws on the sides are the real pain-in-the-butts.
I didn't use any line-output converter or RCA converter, or any ground-loop isolater at all. Just got 2 set of regular RCA cables, cut them into 4, and soldered. Work great. No hiss, no hump, no whine (spelling?)
