Remote for aftermarket amp

I was in the process of installing amp and sub.
I think i have a problem with remote tapping.
i was told that the yellow with green line is the remote line for the factory amp.
so I tapped b7 line(the audio unit ,radio switch) from the wiring harness from the factory amp.
so did i do something wrong or can it be the amp thats not working.

That is the right wire.

1) Do you have a test light or voltmeter? It would be good to test this wire WITH and WITHOUT your connection. Has your FM reception gone south? If so, you might not have an RTO OP and the FM amp is not being powered...

2) Disconnect the RTO wire from the new amp. Take a short piece of wire or a paper clip and jump it from the 12V constant tap to the RTO tap on the amp power strip. If the amp comes, on the amp is OK. If it does NOT, the amp is bad.

anywhere on the chassis of the car, make sure you sand off the paint where you do contact it. Paint prevents continuity.

I like a factory bolt under the trunk liner - a ground bolt if you see one. I wouldn't run all the way up to the nav ground bolt though. I like the factory bolts just because they don't loosen with time like a screw can.

"prevents continuity"? Who talks like that? We all know that paint simply doesn't contain the valence electron! : )
