Thumbs up Regretting not getting the Navi? Read on..

I unfortunately didnt get the navi(would have increased my price 4-5k) but found some good cheap aftermarket solutions.
www.tomtom.com
looks very cool...
There is also the route of going with a large screen pda/bluetooth gps antenna and software...all for about 6-700. I found some of these software packages to be even better than the alpine.
For anyone looking into aftermarket GPS solutions check out www.gpspassion.com---good stuff.

i have the garmin streetpilot 2610. i know it's much more expensive than the one by TOMTOM that you posted but it's very accurate. It's as accurate as any in-dash NAV...

a link to the site is here...http://www.garmin.com/products/sp2610_2650/index.jsp...

i originally got a garmin ique. it's very similar to the gps you posted. i got it after trying out the magellan roadmate and i found it to be very slow and not accurate at all. many times the arrow on the map would fly off route when i make a quick turn.

my .02 cents....

With an aftermarket setup, I agree that you can go beyond the functionality of the alpine in the navi TL's. I think to up the looks though, kinda hard. Functionality would be king though.

I'm sorry, but from the information that's available on that site it looks like not a very good system compared to the Magellan RoadMate 500 (www.magellangps.com). Also, the RoadMate is based on the tried-and-true Hertz NeverLost system and this one is a total unknown in the US market. If I didn't have a NAVI in my TL, that's what I would get; you can buy it for less than $800!
