Recieved My 7" Indash Touch Screen LCD

I got got my 7" LCD Screen with USB touch sreen. It's not motorized, if i got the motorized one the touch screen overlay wouldn't fit. I'm running it off my Geforce 3 Ti500 TV-out. I'm planning to stick my PC in my trunk to have: MP3/DVD/CD/SVCD player, aftermarket GPS, TV, Wireless LAN. I'm planning to run audio from my Sound Blaster Audigy with a 5 channel amp (don't know which one yet, thinking about the Alpine V12 5 ch, any suggestion? 5 ch to make installation easier). Running my DVD-ROM drive to the front of the car via USB 2.0 or Firewire.

Can anyone help me with wire schmatics? Where do i have to tap into the speaker wire...is it behind the dash or is it in the trunk? And can someone explain to me why the Stock sub has 4 connectors and how i'm suppose to install around that.

I'll post pic when i'm done with the project.

That isn't the G35 Install...the G35 install is a XENAC screen..those run off VGA signal, they are expensive, $500. The one i have is just a regular 7" LCD screen that had a touch screen overlay added to it. the 7" LCD with the indash compartment is $240, plus $100 for the touch screen and touch screen controller =$340 shipped.

got it from www.digitalww.com

It's 400 nits...so it can be seen in direct sunlight. 480 x 234 pixels...not good as the XENARC which is 800 x 480, the Xenarc is just the screen...u can't hide it in the dash like this one.

OMFG Iv'e been looking for a screen like this to finally finish my PC in car project... Dude, you rock. Now wheres my check book?

If you want a full schematic, do a search on "bypass revisited" and you will find the wiring diagrams buried in there.

xenarc

A friend in Xenarc said they'll have a in-dash motorized version out in a month. Wander if it'll cost a fortune.

Didn't know Xenarc was comming out with an Indash...most likely it will cost a fortune. The Xenarc 7" VGA touch screen cheapest is $500...most places sell them for $650!!! With a motorized one...i'll say it'll be around $900
