That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of! Why the hell would you do that? That goes way beyond putting a TV anywhere else in the car that's dangerous. You need a rearview mirror!

 

they acutally run those on ebay...and you can hook them up to a rear view camera so you can see behind you. i'd hope you didn't want to watch dvd's while you drive.

Do you have any idea what he is talking about? You might do some research before you go slamming him.

There are several good companies making these. The best I have seen, and I do not remember the company, is the one that is a mirror until you turn on the video then a small portion of the mirror shows the video. For normal use, it works just like your normal mirror.

 

Even if you can turn on the video of the mirror, the only one that can see it is the driver, so it would be useless to passengers. The orginator of this post never said anything about using at a backup camera (if he has one installed). That, I guess, would make sense, so that the driver could only see behind him when the car is in reverse. Otherwise, they serve no purpose than to get the driver killed that much quicker.
