Rear speakers dont work..

My car battery died, replaced it with new battery, but now my rear speakers barely work. They bassically act as a subwoofer. I have messed with the Audio settings, but could not fix it. I have an aftermarket Pioneer stereo installed from Best Buy..

Can I fix this, and how? or is it something that should be covered by Best Buy?

Thanks!

I know you said you messed with the radio settings but when I fade my headunit (after market Sony) to just the front speakers the rear 6x9's just play bass. May want to check your fader again. Also what model Pioneer is it? My wife has an older model Pioneer and it has an option to use the rear speakers as just subs, I can't remember what function it is on the radio though.

Check your fader, also make sure that it's set to F&R and not F&Sub

Yeah, I the fader was at 0 for both the front and rear. When I set it higher for the rear it did not help.

It is the DEH-P3100 model. Front Aux/USB.

If I remember, the sub option was not in my menu before the battery change, and now it is. The sub has three settings: off, normal, and rev. And then additional power (Hz) settings when you select one. Messed around with it off, and on, still nothing.

Thanks for the advice, im going to give best buy a call and see what they say.

I am thinking since I dont have a sub, maybe somehow the disabled that option when they installed it, or somehow a wire might have burt/gotten a short when trying to start the car on the old battery.

i second his opinion..

on lower end pioneers...there are only 2 sets of pre-outs....

the Front...

and Sub...which can be assigned as rear...

put the radio in standby mode and hold menu the button i believe...and just reassign the sub to rear out...

hope that helps...
