Exclamation REAL wattage on JL Audio 12w3v3-4

I noticed on Crutchfeild the JL Audio 12w3v3-4 is rated at 100-500 watts.
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-VMGYSii...4&i=13612W3V34

But on all the shops on ebay they say that the RMS wattage is 75-300. Even on the 08 models.

Which one is the REAL wattage on this sub?
BTW, How dose it sound?

Well since any seller on ebay is not an authorized seller for JL Audio, I'd probably stick with whatever Crutchfield is telling you. They are the only authorized online retailer. Or you could go straight to the horses mouth and check out JL's own website. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_s...p?series_id=25

Ahh ok. I found out that the numbers on the ebay sellers are the 'Recommended' usage. The numbers on the Crutchfield and JL Audio site are the 'Max' usage. Heres the chart.

The 11th one is the 12w3v3 which maxes out a little over 500 watts but recommended (yellow-green) is 300 watts.

Thanks for that link. That made it clear at the bottom. "Optimum 300" "Max 500"
