Re: Headrest TV's and Video Amp
Re: Headrest TV's and Video Amp
Hey all,
I have a few questions in regards to purchasing some headrest tv's and a video amplifier...First, I currently have a 7" Pioneer In-Dash flipout with a pioneer in-dash dvd player and a 13.3" Farenheit flipdown tv. By the way, I have a 1999 Acura 3.2 TL...
I wanted to get some 7" headrest tv's. Any recommendations on what I can go with. I know there are some brands out there that are known for their quality such as ICON, MYRON & DAVIS, ACCELE, etc...I am not looking to break the bank on these headrest tv's, I need something that is of good quality and also economical.
Also, I have a pair of 5.6" Poweracoustic TV's that I was going to use for the backseats. I was going to have it placed behind each headrest in the backseat, basically flushed down so that only the people outside could see. I know this is kind of useless, but I have the pair just sitting around and wanted to utilize it somehow and at the sametime try to be creative.
What I want to know is that does anyone know the quality and craftmanship of these Poweracoustic TV's?
Last question, seeing that I will be running 6 screens all together, I would need to get an Video Amplifier so that all the screens would function without any loss of picture quality. What is the best video amplifier out there that can run 6 screens at the same time and produce the BEST picture quality too? What would be the price of it too? With that in mind, if I wanted to add more screens in the car, lets say for instance in the visors or a rearview camera how would I be able to add it already into the video amp that is already running the 6 screens?
Thanks,

The newer Poweracoustik, AKA Farenheit, are pretty decent screens for the money. We just did the newer 6.5" widescreen in an Infinity and Mercedes and the customers loved them. Plus, they are nice looking since there are no buttons or anything on them, just a small LED and they come with remotes.
For the most part, a video amp is a video amp. Farenheit also makes what you are looking for, plus it is adjustable for each output channel. I believe it's $50 - $75, I have to double check.
If you decide to run more screens than the number of outputs on your video amp, you can take the output signal from your source and split it into two different video amps.
By the way, I'm running a sale on the newer 6.5" Farenheit screens if you are interested, check the link below:
