ok sorry im looking at three choices right now, 2 12" L7s, with a hifonics 1500 watt amp,2 12" L5s with a hifonics 1200 watt amp, or 2 15" L5s with the hifonics 1500 watt amp. my questions where can the tsx handle 1500 watts? which of those might sound the best and be the loudest? does 300 watts really make that much of a difference? thanks

If you want 100 watts to sound louder, you need to double it to 200 watts, given the same set of speakers and all else remaining the same.

The diff between 1200 and 1500 watts will NOT be a volume diff. THere MIGHT be a diff in SQ, but that diff will be far, far greater between different woofers than between 1200 and 1500 watts of amp power. Regardless, I thyink you'd be starving on your alternator output with with either. Sounds like you want to be really opbnoxious! I would suggest going with 500 W of power and a ported box that's custom made - would have more output and less money.

Bass Mechanic and others have said some things about newer Kicker woofs that you might want to read up on...
