quick question
quick question
what guage should i use? i have alpine SPS6939S for rears and Boston acoustics FX5 fronts. 14 ga? 16ga?
i am running them with a RF Punch 400.4 amp.
and also...
i have 2 RF Punch 400.4 amps, 1 RF 1 Farad Capacitor and a stinger distribution block (4ga --> 2x8ga). One amp for speakers, one bridged for dvc sub. i plan on using 4 gauge power from battery to the distribution block, then 2 8ga for each amp. a question. for the capacitor ground wire, does it matter if it is 4 ga or 8 ga?
hope i didn't confuse any of yall.
thanks.

Mmmm best bet on wiring is whatever your amp accepts. That's the best way to determine what gauge to use in and out. I'd suggest 12-16ga wire. You want all your power wire to be the same gauge...so if your power cable is 4 gauge going to your dist block, you want 4 ga for the cap. How do you plan on hooking the cap up? Because it should be run through the + of the power wire before the dist. block, in which case it's obvious it needs 4 ga.
