Anywhere you want really. I'd just zip tie the invertor somewhere under the dash and stick the button under there somewhere reachable.
Using the power you use for your shock sensor? Won't that keep it on all the time? There should be an unused tab on the backside of the driver's side fusebox that gets power when the headlights come on. You can buy a connector that slips on the tab perfectly. The tab you are looking for has a letter "t" in a circle and the number 3 next to it.

if u tapping into the fuse box i would hook it to the parking lights fuse... easiest way to get into there is find which side has constant power (need ohm tester) and wrap the power wire around the OTHER tab of the fuse then stick the fuse back in... this is easiest thing to do... and ur guages will turn on with ur parking lights like they suppost to... mount the button somewhere reachable and outta site... and the modulator i just taped it somewhere underneath where it wouldn't move... hope that helps if u didn't already do it....
