Question for Ortiz and/or Dan Martin

You guys wrote good stuff on installs. I want to run a 12V lead through the firewall in the spot Ortiz did. Only thing is there isn't a hole in my firewall like there is in Ortiz's pictures. Dan said it's were the clutch rod would be.
I have an automatic that was made in January. Did they stop putting this hole in the later models? Any help would be appreciated.

This is NOT ortiz or Dan M.

However, if you're absolutely certain the hole's not there, there is another way - take the plastic inner fender screws out on the bottom of both sides of the driver's side plastic inner fender (abov/around the tire). Usually you can snake a wire in there from the battery and run it straight in the same way that the factory harnesses go in.

Rotate the wheel all the way to the left so you can take out the screws at the rear end and reach up in there to see where you can go.

Hmmm... I don't know why you're missing the hole but but maybe you should try the hole I used. It should be there regardless of which transmission you have.

BTW the inside-the-fender method definitely works - there's a knockout plug above the kick-panel FB, and the wire fits under the edge trim on the driver's side of the engine compartment.

joerockt shot several digital photos... hoping he posts them soon. As I said in that other thread, it is definitely easier if you have the injen intake.
